When I went to my first tech interview
I don't have 100% skills needed in job requirements
But what I had is a lot of pet projects.
The company saw that I can solve different kinds of problems on my own.
They hired me.
Build real things.
Not all requirements in the job description are related to the position
Once Apple recruiter said:
"Sometimes ads are written by recruiters who don’t understand that the combination of skills they want is impossible"
Conclusion?
Apply even if you don't meet all requirements
I know it's hard to accept that you cannot know everything and someone else knows more than you.
But the thing is that you actually don't need it. Things are moving way too fast to learn everything.
Pick one field and become an expert in it.
What I love about coding is you can build something from nothing
The funny thing is most developers love coding for the same reason
We not just like to code, we like to build things with the code
When you sleep for 4 hrs and have 20 hrs in a day, you'll accomplish almost nothing
Why?
You have low energy levels
Low Energy = Lack of focus
Low Energy = Zero motivation
Low Energy = Procrastination
