My current contract ends ~August, which gives me 9 months to invest in improving my professional craft, before potentially my next sabbatical and round of Interviews.
I think I am going to spend each month selecting a meta-programming skill, that people I respect have.
Friends, I am getting very conflicting information.
I think that "getting groceries, even with everyone masked, has added risk with the new strain" is true.
But now all over twitter I am also seeing people saying, "you should wear a mask, even when walking outside".
I do not usually wear masks when walking outside alone because I have trouble breathing when I wear a mask. I only wear it if I have to walk down a more crowded street, or am walking with someone.
Is this now a risky thing to do? My understanding was that this should be okay.
I am statistically literate, and I understand the difference is low risk vs medium risk vs high risk, and my phrasing of "risky" was due to low character count.
As in, is this now a "medium risk" thing to do, as opposed to the "really low risk" that it used to be.
Vancouverites, are you getting food delivery and giving 30% to a third party service? Bookmark this page for places doing their own delivery. Support local businesses and eat well. dailyhive.com/vancouver/vancβ¦
We don't know for sure how much the vaccine reduces transmission, and it isn't "to zero", but people are really really suffering here and if you tell them that after the vaccine they have to suffer just as much, that's a much less compelling pitch.
