You are making "@github pages integration" sound as a good thing :). Have a look at @Netlify? It's sooo much better! And you are not bound to keep your repos to just @GitHub; you can use @gitlab and @Bitbucket too. And yes, @GoHugoIO is awesome!

I recently created this throwaway netlify site to test something.. This (picture) is *all* the config needed to deploy a new site (even a throwaway site, on HTTPS): 1. Set repo URL 2. Command: "hugo" 3. Env vars if required (everything else is auto-set and can be changed.)
