Still struggling to know what's going on in our gcc build (which has worked largely untouched for years) - any GCC build experts able to lend a hand? Thanks so much in advance!
Now a week out of date on GCC trunk builds. We're hitting "multiple definition of `__x86.get_pc_thunk.bx'" during the xgcc build of libgcc_s.so -- and I have no idea how to fix it. Our build scripts have worked OK for years with minimal tweaks, looking for @gnutools help!-mg

I appreciate that if GCC folks had to respond to every "I can't build GCC" question ever they'd be inundated, so this is a little lazy of me. But I had a look and I'm stumped, and folks are asking for the trunk build to be updated.

@RichFelker @rodgertq gonna build with latest released bintuils instead of trunk and see if that works.

Replying to @mattgodbolt
Maybe add -fno-PIC should remove the thunk and for your use case seems to be ok

I wouldn't know where to add `-fno-PIC` -- to GCC? To binutils?
