Zoom is effectively admitting here that their software has so many memory leaks that rather than fix the leaks, they’re asking for permission to automatically reboot your Mac once a week.
Here’s something our software will never, ever ask you to do.

The most offensive part of this to me is Zoom pretending that "the weekly restart feature" is an actual thing.

Gross. No sense of boundaries, corporate responsibility or respect for a users priorities.

This reminds me of a game for the original Xbox (can’t recall which) where they couldn’t track down a memory leak so in between levels they did a silent reboot of the console and continued loading the next level.
