So, to get the idea, you optimize to return the possibly mutable object saving a constant lookup, and invalidate/refresh that optimization if there's const removal + set again (as in "reloading"), or re-assignment?

Oh man, those are gorgeous and would be probably my choice. Unfortunately there's no model with speakers or bluetooth, and I really want a simple setup. Roland, Yamaha, Kawai, ..., their top of the line portables with the features I look for seem the next best option after Nord.

And, as you said, who cares if I play with one finger. If Nord had a model like the ones I am looking for, it would be a Nord :).

Plot twist! Kawai makes the keybed of the flagship Nord Grand, and it's the one in their ES920 model. They seem to be on par, but Kawai has conveniences like speakers, Bluetooth audio and MIDI, record to USB memory stick (!), etc. Kawai has more plastic, but reason is weight.

If I go ahead with this plan, I'll a pick a piano course from @ArtistWorks, which is a dream of school. Did alto there with Eric Marienthal no less.

Weight and quality of the keys. The models I am checking are all in one with asesome builtin patches, speakers, bluetooth, etc. Want an easy setup with 1 device.

Of course they have MIDI too. I have a Roland MIDI controller, but I am looking for something else now.

Have several issues with the sax: – It's in Eb and I have ear in C, it's crazy. – It's loud to play at home. – If you do not play, you loose embouchure and sound. I enjoyed a few years, but feel I have to switch to something else. A modern digital piano checks many marks.
