As can be seen in the #eth2 client performance report (raw.githubusercontent.com/le…), we spend a lot of time making sure Nimbus efficiently uses resources - cpu, storage, memory - why?

Security, cost and ubiquity - being efficient is important to us because it means more people can run #eth2 on a wider range of hardware while spending less money for the same amount of security margin to withstand attacks - as a validator, this has a direct impact on your ROI.

It does not stop here - because we've built most of the components of a blockchain client from ground up, we can now carefully tune them where the impact is the greatest and further lower requirements.
