If faster home broadband boosts economic growth then this should boost efforts to "Levelling Up" (if that means reducing regional inequality in economic output).
A quarter of UK premises now have access to gigabit broadband, but this is unevenly distributed.
This cartogram shows which small areas of England and Wales already have gigabit broadband availability. Each hexagon⬢ represents an MSOA with a population of around 7k-10k.

Great question from @tomebbutt -- why is gigabit broadband penetration so much better in Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, than in London? Does anyone know?
