In a recent video, JAS (Boko Haram) seemed to be trying rather hard to copy ISIS WA, a faction that remains much stronger in the Lake Chad area. A few interesting weapons seen, such as Dragunov SVD (Rarely seen or used locally) and the Zastava M21, used by Cameroon and captured.

Interesting @HumAngle_ thread on how to designate the violent groups operating in NW Nigeria, which do not seem to fight under a jihadi banner. Groups are indeed so large and violent and overbearing that banditry fails to capture what they are.
