I’ve been writing only Node stuff for so long that I had to spend a solid hour today googling and reminding myself how to create a model and it’s controller in Rails, I felt so out of place. Kinda feel like I should just stick to Node... good ol’ imposter syndrome at it again.
Oh hey, I passed all my modules for the first half of uni. 🎉 Here's hoping the second year is just as successful, but who knows given that we're somehow going to be doing coursework completely remote.
I haven't tweeted about Hacktoberfest in a while, but yes, there are still a huge number of impatient folks pestering us with support tickets to see if their swag has been shipped. Sigh.
Hiya @github (@chrisrpatterson I think?), is there anything that can be done to get scheduled (cron) Actions to be more reliable? I have a build that's meant to run every 30 minutes, plus a short range at 5 minute intervals, and its only managed to run once in the last hour...?
Okay, so to wrap up the weekend I decided to build pogchamp.today/ based on the new 24hr PogChamp emotes, relying on actually posting PogChamp in Twitch chat to get the data. Here's hoping @Twitch likes this and doesn't get angry at me for using Glitch or the emotes.
I really need to learn my array methods in JS properly. I’m forever opening dev consoles in random tabs to check that slice or splice or shift or pop or unshift or push does what I need and what arguments I need to give it for my use-case.
