I have asked myself about this for so long. #Amazon #Technology
Has anyone noticed that Amazon's homepage title looks like it was last updated in 2004? It *was* last updated in 2004. I wrote it then when I was 24 years old and running the SEM/SEO teams, and apparently no one has updated it since then.

A great thread from Dan Rose on his time at @amazon and the birth of AWS. Pretty exciting to see how taking bold risks can help you turn crises into opportunities. #AWS #Amazon #Tech #Technology nitter.net/DanRose99…

Product development ground to a halt during the transition, we froze all new features for over a year. We had a huge backlog but nothing could ship until we completed the shift to Linux. I remember an all-hands where one of our eng VPs flashed an image of a snake swallowing a rat

Pretty exciting to see Biden's Science Team picks are beyond qualified and the Science office has been elevated to a Cabinet-level position for the first time. #Biden #Technology #Science #BuildBackBetter

Why no/low-code platforms are exciting In most ML projects, subject matter expertise is only used for labels. In most successful ML projects, SME is also used for feature engineering, error analysis, reranking predictions, etc. No/low-code allows SMEs to get directly involved!

Still mind-blown thinking a model like @OpenAI's GPT-3 cost ~$10M to train 🤯. #OpenAI #GPT3 #MachineLearning #DeepLearning #NLP

The wide adoption of transformer text models is unlocking many applications that used to be relegated to academia. This will push more companies to adopt functionalities like automatic summarisation, text generation or text-to-code solutions. #DeepLearning #NLP #MachineLearning
