1/ PSA. After months of testing and research with both Eth1 and Eth2 nodes, we decided to stake from day zero on a @Raspberry_Pi 4. If you plan to do so, we encourage you to wait for our feedback and make sure it is safe to stake in these kinds of devices. #eth2 #ethereum

Several people have noticed during upgrades that it's hard to find peers in #eth2 - there's a couple of reasons so let's go over them, but long story short, it's generally good and cheap for yourself and the network to set a high maximum peer count and allow incoming connections!

Now that the #Eth2 Beacon Chain launched this year will be a three-pronged attack: “the merge” between Eth1 and Eth2, sharding, and light clients. @benjaminion_xyz 's article in @TheBlock__ helps explain what's next for #Eth2
The launch of the Beacon Chain last year was the most challenging deliverable of the #Ethereum 2.0 project. In this quickly evolving research space, a whole new scaling paradigm emerged that doesn’t rely on sharding, called rollups. @benjaminion_xyz theblockcrypto.com/post/9081…

So, this is why it is so important to have a curated list of compatible devices with the image to make sure everything works fine and we build a solid node for running both eth1 and eth2 nodes.

We will try to include this in our new documentation, particularly a list of devices tested by us and other devices not tested by us but that should work flawlessly based on third party feedback.
