I could not see the legal risk in @eddiemarsan calling @MaajidNawaz "a self publicising shock jock promoting dangerous conspiracy theories" since he is a polemical radio host ('shock jock' is a common shorthand) who certainly promotes dangerous conspiracy theories.Feel free to RT

I looked at London Covid admissions today & they made me cry. We've been admitting a medium sized hospital worth of Covid patients EVERY day for 3 weeks. KCL hospital is one of London's largest at 950 beds. On 6th Jan we admitted 977 Covid patients. What have we done?

We are now in a world in which a man is too dangerous to be on Twitter but still has 5,800 nuclear warheads.

What happens when you have ten months to organise devices for working class kids but you're incompetent, so to cover your tracks you force those kids to go into school instead. Their families end up being punished - with increased health risks - for your incompetence.
Hearing from more and more heads of soaring numbers of kids being dropped off for school. One primary in London that went from 12 kids in March lockdown to 56 now. A secondary in West Yorkshire that went from 30 in March to 150+ now.

We have witnessed two systems of justice: one that let extremists storm the U.S. Capitol yesterday, and another that released tear gas on peaceful protestors last summer. It’s simply unacceptable.

We acknowledge its historical role in eugenics and fully endorse this apology. We have already started plans to work within @ucl framework to address inequalities and truly improve EDI in our department.
We are today issuing a public apology for UCL’s history and legacy of eugenics. UCL played a fundamental role in the development, propagation and legitimisation of eugenics. We deeply regret this and apologise. ucl.ac.uk/news/2021/jan/ucl-…

Allow me to translate: ‘After realising that President Biden will take office in 13 days time, we have decided that now is the time to find a moral compass.’
After yesterday's violence at the U.S. Capitol, we've determined that the risks of allowing President Trump to continue using our service are simply too great.

Seriously Ian what is wrong with you. No one protested the result on the 13th December 2019. No one protested the opening of Parliament or the Queens Speech! Everyone accepted the votes were cast validly and the result of the GE was respected. This is just fiction
Replying to @LordIanAustin
I don't believe the hard left would have accepted an election defeat or even held one they'd lose. We've become complacent about our democracy and take it for granted, when we must defend it and institutions that underpin it - legal system, civil service, serious media, BBC etc

Today, domestic terrorists attacked a foundation of our democracy: the peaceful transfer of power following free elections. We must reestablish the rule of law and hold them accountable. Democracy is fragile. Our leaders must live up to their responsibility to protect it.

#Auschwitz is a painful reminder what may happen when humanitarian values are shattered by hatred & ideology of superiority of one group of people over others. Freedom, democracy or human rights are not values given once and for all. We need to work every day to protect them.
